Why is my tax payment sent to a Reading P.O. Box?

We have a Bank Lock Box Center in Reading, therefore, tax bill payments will be sent to the Reading Post Office Box.  Town of Yarmouth utilizes a lockbox service through Century Bank with its highly automated capabilities is less costly for the tax payers than hiring staff to manually type in payment receipts and make bank deposits.  Mail sent on Cape with rare exceptions are sent off Cape for processing and distribution.  The mail time is essentially the same going to either location.
