Book Discussion Group

Join us to discuss this charming classic, first published in 1970, reflecting twenty years of correspondence between Helene Hanff, a freelance writer living in New York City, and a used-book dealer, Frank Doel, in London. A book lover’s delightful read. Copies of the book are at the South Yarmouth Library for borrowing. Future meeting dates: September 24, October 22, and November 19.

Outdoor Story Time

Are you an audiobook fan and used to having a good book on CD in the car? Have you noticed that newer model cars no longer have a CD drive? If you love to listen to good books while you drive, we have a solution for that…Playaways are pre-recorded books on a portable device that is easy to carry – and can be heard through a set of headphones to enjoy. But, with an auxiliary cable (an “aux” cable, as most techies call it), you can plug in to your car’s USB port and the sound comes through your car speakers. We have selected a number of popular titles in Playaway format and encourage you to check them out.
