Public Student Education
Public education is a very important part of Fire Prevention. At the Yarmouth Fire Department public education takes place in a variety of forums. Safety awareness should be a lifetime goal and the public education team strives to provide programs that apply to all of the citizens of Yarmouth regardless of age or circumstance. All of the following programs are targeted to specific groups and include student evaluation and program/instructor evaluation. The school age children are evaluated in a combined method of demonstration and pre and post verbal assessment. All assessments are retained in written format. Educator evaluations are written and cover presentation, content, and effectiveness.
