Public Education & Awareness

Educating the public is the first step in developing an appreciation and understanding for the environment. This understanding is important when enforcing the laws that protect the users and the environment alike.

Education is the front line in protecting the public health and safety.

Educational programs on a variety of topics have been conducted including a Rabies Awareness Program created by the Yarmouth Division of Natural Resources in conjunction with The Yarmouth Health Department. This program was the recipient of two awards.
