What is Cardboard?

Uncontaminated loads of corrugated cardboard have a positive value, however when plastic bags, Styrofoam, or non corrugated boxes are added the load can be rejected or worse yet loose its value.  Please remember that all corrugated boxes must be flattened, they are placed in a compactor but they take up less space if they are flattened before being added to the hopper.

Corrugated pizza boxes (without the pizza) is acceptable in the Corrugated Cardboard bin.

What is CORRUGATED CARDBOARD?Corrugated (aka pleated) material is made up of three separate layers of paper: an inside liner, an outside liner and fluting that runs in between.  

What is NON corrugated cardboard?

Cardboard is a heavy-duty paper stock also known as paperboard. It is rarely used in heavy-duty packaging. Typical applications are cereal boxes and other smaller consumer goods packages, items like this should be placed in the MIXED PAPER BIN.
