September is Library Card
Sign-up Month!

Library Card Sign-up Month is a time when the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries nationwide join together to remind parents, caregivers and students that signing up for a library card is one of the first steps toward academic achievement and lifelong learning. This year’s celebrity mascots are the characters from Toy Story 4. Join us for activities in September at the South Yarmouth Library and West Yarmouth Library to find out more about what your library card can do for you!

National Dance Day was established in 2010 by American Dance Movement co-founder Nigel Lythgoe and Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, as an annual celebration that encourages Americans of all ages to incorporate dance into their lives. It is a day of celebration to show support for dance as a valuable form of exercise and of artistic expression.  American Dance Movement aims to educate the public about dance and its many benefits, as well as make dance accessible and inclusive to everyone.

For all ages, children under eight years old need to bring an adult. No registration is necessary. Dressing up is encouraged! To learn more about this community-based initiative visit http://americandancemovement.org/national-dance-day/
