Changes in Hours of Service

Saturday hours at the West Yarmouth Library begin Saturday, June 1, from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m.

Sunday Hours at the South Yarmouth Library have ended and will resume after Labor Day.

Little Free Beach Libraries

Little Free Beach Libraries are “open for business” in Yarmouth on a take-a-book-leave-a-book basis at the Bass River/Smugglers Beach in South Yarmouth and at Seagull Beach in West Yarmouth.

Integrated Parent-Child Sessions

5 week program
Tuesday, May 28, June 4 and June 11 
10:00-11:30 a.m.

South Yarmouth Library

Parent Workshop: Interactive workshop for all caregivers. For birth to 8 years old and their caregivers. Attend all or any one of the three remaining sessions. Please register by calling Jody Almonte at  508-778-7988 X 4.
 

  • Understand your child’s social and emotional development.
  • Strengthen your relationship with your child.
  • Learn strategies to make playtime more purposeful for you and your child.

Tick Talk with Larry Dapsis

South Yarmouth Library

Larry Dapsis, Entomologist for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, will talk about the variety of ticks and the extent of tick-borne diseases on Cape Cod. Presented in cooperation with Town of Yarmouth Natural Resources and Health Departments.  Registration recommended, as this has been a very popular talk each year. Join us for a celebration of reading and libraries – even if you have not (and especially if you have) read this year’s Yarmouth Reads selection: The Island of Worthy Boys by Connie Hertzberg Mayo. Bring a donation of a children’s book (for ages 4-15) that is in new or like-new condition. Tickets, which will include a New England luncheon, are for sale at the South Yarmouth Library, with a suggested contribution of $10.00. Registration is greatly encouraged.
