South Yarmouth Library Association Sunday Author Series welcomes Jeannette de Beauvoir Author of The Deadliest BlessingSunday, June 24, 2:00 p.m. South Yarmouth Library Please join us for a discussion of writing a sense of place by Cape Cod author Jeannette de Beauvoir. Part of the South Yarmouth Library Sunday Author Series, this is a popular program. Reservations strongly encouraged. Sign up online at the Library website www.yarmouthlibraries.org, under our Event Calendar, or call or stop by either library to sign you up. Funded and organized by the South Yarmouth Library Association, who also provide refreshments.

Summer Reading Kick-off Event: Libraries Rock!Wednesday, June 27, 2:00 p.m. at the West Yarmouth Library Featuring special musical guests “The Elbows” and field day games. All ages are welcome. Children under eight years old need to bring an adult. Special thanks to the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office for providing the tent for this event.
“Libraries Rock!” is sponsored by the Yarmouth Town Libraries, the South Yarmouth and West Yarmouth Library Associations, the Massachusetts Library System, the Boston Bruins and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.

We will be open for business that day and all materials that are on-site at the West Yarmouth and South Yarmouth Libraries will be available. Please remember to bring your library card that day.

Meet the Author: Marie Fricker, Cancer SurvivorThursday, June 28, 7:00 p.m. South Yarmouth Library Marie was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. She was treated with chemotherapy, but was given only a 20 % chance of surviving 5 years. Over 8 years later, her story of fear, perseverance, and hope sheds light into the dark abyss of battling a catastrophic disease. No sign-up required, but to be sure of a seat, call or visit the Library at (508) 760-4820 to register or for more information. Bring a friend! Refreshments will be served.
