The Yarmouth Town Libraries offer delivery for people with illness or a condition that prevents them from coming to the Library. Volunteers Stephanie and Bob Rich deliver library items on Fridays. Call the Library at 508-760-4820 and speak with one of our staff to get signed up for this service.

Learn how to research your family lines in Portugal including the Azores and Madeira Islands. Sónia Pacheco, Librarian Archivist at the Ferreira-Mendes Portuguese-American Archives at UMass Dartmouth, visits Yarmouth to help share her insights about this heritage. As the Library Liaison for Portuguese, History and Foreign Languages at the college, Ms. Pacheco has much to teach us! Genealogy Club meetings are free and open to the public. Tick Talk Two: Larry Dapsis returns

Larry Dapsis returns to Yarmouth for a discussion about ticks on Cape Cod and other emerging tick-borne diseases in addition to Lyme Disease. Larry joined the Cape Cod Cooperative Extension in 2011 as Deer Tick Project Coordinator and Entomologist and is a member of the Barnstable County Task Force on Lyme and other tick-borne diseases. He is the tick expert in the state of Massachusetts. Even if you saw him earlier this year at the South Yarmouth Library, a repeat lecture might be helpful, as there is much to know about these bugs on Cape Cod.
