The Town Library Board & Library Staff invite you to join us in reading The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society in 2017. Borrow or purchase a copy of Annie Barrows and Mary Ann Shaffer’s important work at this event, and start reading! Share it with your friends and neighbors.
Sock Drive: Bring a new pair of socks - any size, for any age - to contribute, as part of Yarmouth Reads 2017 and support the community.
Cecelia Siemen Scholarship in the Visual Arts
The South Yarmouth Library Association offers the Cecelia Siemen Scholarship in the Visual Arts annually. The $3,000 award advances the study and knowledge of someone in the visual arts. To be eligible, applicants must have completed one academic year at a college or art institute by the end of the school year in which the scholarship is offered.
Applications are made available in January of each year from the South Yarmouth Library or from the website. Applications include the completed form, transcripts of all course work, three (3) letters of recommendation, your portfolio, and a personal statement.
Go to www.yarmouthlibraries.org and look for the link to download an application on the home page. Applications to the South Yarmouth Library Association are due no later than April 30, 2017.
The Yarmouth Town Libraries will be closed on Monday, January 16,
for Martin Luther King Jr. Day
