Community Housing Committee

The Community Housing Committee is committed to creating affordable housing opportunities within the Town of Yarmouth through development and education.  The Community Housing Committee is a standing committee which encourages and assists the Town in reaching the 10% goal for affordable housing as set forth in MGL Ch. 40B, while maintaining the quality of life for all residents.

To review, supplement, and assist in the implementation of policies that affect the access to and the of availability of affordable housing in Yarmouth; to initiate, guide and coordinate Town sponsored affordable housing projects; to serve as the Town Housing Partnership Committee and to coordinate with the County HOME Program. The Committee is a standing committee which shall encourage and assist the Town in reaching the 10% goal for affordable housing as set forth in MGL CH. 40B, while maintaining the quality of life for all residents. The Committee shall review and comment on affordable housing developments submitted to the Town by developers under Ch 40B, or a Town sponsored program. The Committee shall prepare and Annual Report and submit it to the Town Administrator. (Revised 2014)
