Important Information on changes in permitting and the State of Massachusetts revised Fire Code 527CMR1.
As of 1/1/15 the Yarmouth Fire Department no longer issues permits for the installation of fire protection systems. However the Massachusetts State building code requires fire department review and approval under 780 CMR 107.1.2. Construction plans are to be simultaneously submitted to both the Town of Yarmouth Building Department and the Fire Department. There is no cost for Fire Department review.
